Pokémon Topps Series 2 continued the original Topps Pokémon run in 2000, expanding beyond the first set with new Pokémon, episode cards and collectible inserts. The main set contains 72 cards including Pokémon cards, Heroes & Villains cards, episode cards and a checklist.

Series 2 introduced several sought-after chase inserts including die-cut embossed cards, clear cards and animation sticker cards. Popular Pokémon include Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, Starmie, Magmar and many fan favourites from the latter half of the original Pokédex.
